With extensive, and proficient combined years of experience in providing quality support services to individuals with cognitive, intellectual, or developmental disabilities, the founders of Embrace with Care LLC submitted a proposal to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in the year 2020 to be approved as providers of home and community-based services. 

The CEO Chaketa Njifunuh has 21 years of experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Oklahoma City and other neighboring cities. With a tenured background as a Senior Program Coordinator, working directly with DDS case managers to coordinate, assess, and accept new clients consistent with their individual plan (IP) needs. Her experience also includes but is not limited to; habilitation training specialist (HTS), respite care, job coaching, and instructional skills provided to individuals who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, autism, pica, and other impairments.

The CFO of Embrace with Care LLC, Falawn Norwood, has 19 years of combined experience in working with men, women, and adolescent youth with developmental disabilities in institutions within the communities of Southern California. With his substantial background, developing and executing a service centered around the needs and preferences of citizens with developmental disabilities has become more than a career path. It is now a purpose.

 Cristol Walls is the Executive Director of Embrace with Care, bringing over 14 years of experience with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Developmental Disabilities Services. Her background as a DDS Case Manager provided her with extensive experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and community partners while advocating for quality, person-centered services. As Executive Director, she is committed to enhancing the quality of care through compassionate leadership, staff development, regulatory compliance, and person-centered support. As the mother of two young men with special needs, Cristol combines her professional expertise with personal experience, fueling her passion for advocacy, inclusion, dignity, and empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential.
